Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 – A Celebration of Strength, Skill & Sportsmanship

The Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 at Faculty Higher Secondary School, North Guwahati, concluded on a grand note, leaving behind a trail of unforgettable moments of competition, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Students from Classes V to XII participated in a series of track and field events, showcasing their agility, endurance, and sporting spirit. 🏆 Day 1: Grand Opening Ceremony The event started off with a vibrant Opening Ceremony as all five houses assembled on the field. The National Anthem resonated in the air, followed by a welcome speech by Principal Mr. Jugal Chandra Borah. The school flag was unfurled, and Director Madam Loya Sinha inspired the participants with her words of encouragement. The House Captains took the Oath of Sportsmanship, and the Principal officially declared the Annual Sports 2025 open. 🔹 The excitement surged as the first day witnessed intense track and field competitions like: ✔ 100m, 200m, and 800m Races ✔ 4x100m Relay Races and Long Jump ✔ Teachers’ 100m Race 🏅 Day 2: High-Octane Track & Field Events The second day saw students pushing their limits in events like: ✔ High Jump & Shot put ✔ Skipping Race & Sack Race ✔ Teachers’ Shot put With each event, the sports field buzzed with energy as participants gave their best, cheered on by enthusiastic spectators. 💪 Day 3: Strength, Strategy & Spirit The final day was packed with electrifying events: 🔥 Obstacle Race – Testing agility and endurance 🔥 Three-legged Race and Passing the Ball 🔥 Tug of War – A battle of strength between houses 🔥 Teachers’ Relay Race – A fun-filled event bringing together students and teachers A special highlight of the day was a Weightlifting Display featuring fitness expert Dr. Bibhumoni Singha, who enlightened students on the importance of weight training in sports. Young weightlifters from the school demonstrated technical lifts and deadlifts, inspiring budding athletes. 🏆 Prize Distribution & House Champions As the meet drew to a close, the much-awaited Prize Distribution Ceremony recognized the best performers. Green House emerged as the Overall Champion, and the Runner Up Trophy was lifted by Orange House. The Annual Sports Meet 2024-25 was a true testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork, inspiring every student to strive for excellence in both sports and life.

FHSS Model United Nations Conference 2024

Faculty Higher Secondary School, North Guwahati, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The event was followed by the Inaugural Ceremony of the FHSS Model United Nations Conference 2024. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by warm introductory remarks by the anchors. Our Principal, Mr. Jugal Chandra Borah, delivered an inspiring speech that set the tone for the day's proceedings. A semi-classical dance performance by our talented students, themed on patriotism, added a touch of grace to the event. We were honored to welcome and felicitate our Chief Guest, Dr. Rouhin Deb, Chief Economic Adviser to the CM of Assam, who inspired the young delegates with his powerful speech. We also had the pleasure of felicitating Mr. Nabaarun Barooah, the former Secretary General of the MUN Conference 2018, who shared his valuable insights with the attendees. The Secretary General of MUN Conference 2024 then addressed the gathering, expressing the significance of this platform for young minds. The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of the Executive Board Members of all committees, after which the Secretary General officially declared the conference open..

Weâ€™re thrilled to share that Day 1 of Bibliophilia 2024, the FHSS Inter School Literary Fest, started off with a remarkable start! Eight of the finest schools from the Guwahati region came together today to compete in six exhilarating literary events, bringing their creativity, intellect, and passion to the forefront. The inaugural ceremony was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Shiela Borah Ma'am, who was felicitated by the Principal of FHSS, Mr. Jugal Chandra Borah. The event was further elevated by a powerful and inspiring speech delivered by Loya Sinha, Director of OET, whose words ignited a spirit of enthusiasm and encouragement among all the participants. A special thank you to everyone involved in making this day a resounding success. We are deeply grateful to our students and council members, who have poured their hearts into preparing for this event over the past two months. Your dedication is the backbone of Bibliophilia 2024! Our heartfelt thanks also go to the FHSS school coordinators, the English Department, and all faculty members who have played an essential role in bringing this literary fest to life. The positive feedback and overwhelming responses weâ€™ve received speak volumes about the impact of this event. Having eight top schools from Guwahati participate in this fest is a testament to the growing literary culture and excellence in our region. Day 2 & Closing of Bibliophilia 2024: A Literary Fest to Remember! The FHSS Inter-School Literary Fest 2024 at Faculty Higher Secondary School, North Guwahati, concluded with a grand celebration today. The final events, Cosplay and Quiz, brought out the creativity and knowledge of our participants. Over two days, nine schools competed in eight exciting events. At the Closing Ceremony, prizes and certificates were awarded to all the winners. With the highest total score, Delhi Public School Guwahati proudly clinched the Best School Award. Madam Loya Sinha, Director of OET, delivered an inspiring speech, boosting the spirits of all participants and expressing her hope to see everyone again for the second edition of Bibliophilia.
