Rongali Bihu celebrated with great joy at Faculty Higher Secondary School, North Guwahati
Faculty Higher Secondary School, North Guwahati, celebrated the spirit of Rongali Bihu with great enthusiasm on April 12, 2025. The event began with a heartfelt felicitation of Respected Pradip Kumar Bhuyan Sir, Founding Trustee of Hati Bondhu, whose relentless efforts to mitigate human-elephant conflict earned him the prestigious Assam Gaurav Award 2024, conferred by the Hon’ble Governor of Assam, Shri Laxman Prasad Acharya.
Bhuyan Sir’s journey, rooted in compassion and conservation, resonated deeply with the message of Rongali Bihu—harmony between people, culture, and nature.
The celebration featured a warm address by Principal Mr. Jugal Chandra Borah, an engaging talk on the significance of Bohag Bihu, soulful Bihu songs by students and Dhiraj Sir, and a colourful Husori and Bihu dance performance. The event concluded with the distribution of traditional Bihu delicacies, filling hearts and bellies alike with festive joy.
