M I Theory & Activity Based Learning

Most of the modern psychologist believe that intelligence is the ability to solve problems and fashion products. It is an inborn attribute on faculty of an individually. M I or ‘Multiple Intelligence Theory’ pluralized the traditional concept. Intelligence entails the ability to solve problems, fashion products that are of consequence in particular cultural setting or community. The problem solving skill allows one to approach a situation in which a goal has to be obtained and to locate the appropriate route to that goal. The problems to be solved range from creating an end for a story to anticipating a mating move in chess to repairing a quilt. Products range from scientific theory to musical composition to successful political campaigns.
In short M I theory is framed in light of the biological origins of each problem solving skill. Only those skills that are universal to the human species are treated.

Keeping in mind, the M I Theory of Intelligence the school has changed its teaching methods upto Class VI from traditional system to Activity Oriented Learning process. Activity of various types like projects, outdoor activities like games and sports, playing with and collecting natural objects, crafts with easily available things and waste products, dance, music, aerobics etc. have formed thrust areas for learning. Community services, celebration of different festivals, story telling, dramatization add zing to teaching.
