Guwahati is well connected by rail and air with all the Metros of the country. Located by the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra it is the premier city of Assam and the Gateway to the North East.

The population of Guwahati is around 15 lakhs. The city and its suburbs are dotted with many ancient temple, - the Kamakhya Temple in Nilachal Hills being the most the famous of them all. Guwahati also boasts of ‘Deepar Beel’ a declared Ramsha site a wetland of great importance within its municipal limits of the city.
